Ofsted Reports

We have now received the official report from our Ofsted inspection on 28th February 2017 and are delighted to announce that Chilham St. Mary’s has again been judged to be ‘A Good School’ by this inspection.  The full report can be read by clicking on the link below and will be available on the Ofsted website from next week. We are relishing the opportunities to take the school further on the next stage of its journey!

We are also inspected by the Church of England and the latest inspection report can also be found below

Church Inspection Report 2016

Tell us what you think…

Parents and carers can give their views of our school at any time of the school year and at the time of a school inspection using an online questionnaire called Parent View.

When our school is notified of its next Ofsted inspection, parents will be invited to give their views about the school to inspectors using the Parent View online facility as this has replaced Ofsted’s paper questionnaire.

If you have changed your e-mail address or mobile phone number then please make sure we have your most up-to-date contact details.

Please register with an email address and a password at http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.

Once your login has been activated, it only takes a few minutes to complete answers to 12 short questions about aspects such as bullying, the quality of teaching, level of homework and whether you would recommend the school to other parents.

Your views are important in helping inspectors make a decision about our school, and to help us know what is going well and what could be improved.

Please remember, you can give your opinion of our school through Parent View at any time during the school year.

At the time of an inspection, you can refresh or resubmit your views and the facility will overwrite your previous response so that only one ‘view’ for each parent, per school, is held.

If you do not have a computer or an email address or if you would like help to use Parent View, please come into school and ask at reception.

“Pupils’ attitudes to learning are exceptionally good. Pupils are attentive and enthusiastic across a range of subjects. They share their ideas and support each other during group work. They enjoy talking about what they have written or created. For example, Years 3 and 4 pupils in an art lesson were eager to talk about how they had applied techniques used by Picasso to inspire their own artwork”.

“Chilham is a highly inclusive school, in which differences between people are respected and valued. Behaviour is usually good and pupils are helped to reflect well on their behaviour and attitudes. Pupils, including those who have special needs, are enabled to achieve their potential”.
